A Little Frog and a Crow
Once upon a time long ago there was a small pond. And in that pond lived a father frog, a mother frog, and a little frog.
One day, as his parents were leaving to look for food, they said to the little frog, “Son, we are going to get some food. You just play around here, and don’t go far away.” Then his parents went to find food.
After a little while, the little frog started jumping around here and there. He jumped very far away.
When he came under a tree, a crow was cawing from the top of the tree. “Caw… Caw…” the crow cawed.
As soon as the crow saw the little frog, he immediately flew down and caught the little frog tightly in his claws. Then the crow carried him into the sky.
As they flew towards a roof of a house, the little frog asked, “Crow, crow, where are you going to eat me? Crow… crow…” “On the tile roof, on the tile roof,” replied the crow. The little frog quickly answered the crow, “I am so happy, so happy! That is where my grandpa and grandma live. I am so happy, so happy.”
When the crow heard that, he did not eat the little frog on the tiled roof. Instead, he continued flying. As they flew, the little frog asked again, “Crow, crow, where are you going to take and eat me? Crow… Crow…” “On the stupa, on the stupa,” replied the crow. The little frog said to the crow, “I am so happy, so happy!”
He quickly shouted to the crow, “My paternal uncle and paternal aunt live on that stupa. I am so happy, so happy!” When he said so, the crow did eat little frog on the stupa. Instead, he kept on flying.
The little frog asked again, “Crow, crow, where are you going to take and eat me? Crow… crow…” “On the rock, on the rock,” replied the crow. The little frog said, “I am so happy, so happy! My maternal uncle and maternal aunt live there. I am so happy, so happy!” When he said so, when the crow heard that, the crow did not eat the little frog on the rock and continued flying.
After a while, as the little frog and the crow were approaching near a bridge, the little frog asked, “Crow, crow, where are you going to take and eat me? Crow… crow…” “On the bridge, on the bridge,” replied the crow. The little frog said, “I feel so sad, so sad. I have no relatives living there. I feel so sad, so sad!”
The crow was delighted when he heard these words. He flew down and set the little frog down on the bridge. Then the crow started flapping its wings and sharpening its beak. When he was just about to eat the little frog, the little frog…
“DHU-LUHM!” jumped into the water. The crow stared with wide eyes but could do nothing.

तेरा ङि फोल्प ल आप ते आम ङिको फितीरी ॱसिकी च्यापरी यप काङ्री फोल्प च्याम्पकोरी, “च, आप ते आम फितीरी ॱसिकी च्यापरी यच्यो। हानी काकारी आयरो ओ।” ओच्योङ ॱपिचे आप ते आम ङिको ॱसिकी च्यापरी य मे।
चि तच्ये फोल्प च्याम्पको ॱउरी छ्योङ चिरी छ्योङ लच्ये। सश्यु हानी ताङ्ताङ ॱतो मे।
आन्चे फोल्प च्याम्पको ॱश्यिङ्तुङ श्ह्रि लेरी तो काङ्री श्यिङ उ चोकोरी प्रोङ्को श्येच्ये। “क्रो, क्रो” (क्वा, क्वा) लचे कतेचे टु मे।
प्रोङ्कोकोचे फोल्प च्याम्पको म्राङ्प केम्लीङ्चे तेलेरी मतिरी फ्याङ खचे लचे प्रोङ्को या ङिकोचे फोल्प च्याम्कोरी पे फाङ लचे केचे ॱनाङ्कुङरी पोर्चे य मे।
ॱउ च्युरी खिमी थिङ श्ह्रि कारी तो ॱपि लप काङ्री फोल्प कोचे प्रोङ्कोकोरी।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे प्रोङ्कोरी ॱपिचे, “प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को, ङरी चु ख्या तर पोर्चे हानी चपा? प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को।” प्रोङ्कोचे खिरी ॱपिचे, “ॱकापेरी, ॱकापेरी।” “ॱताङ्चे, ॱताङ्चे! उरी ङल आखे ते मे मो। ॱताङ्चे, ॱताङ्चे!” ओच्योङ ॱपि मे।
प्रोङ्कोकोचे चु ॱलाङ्को थेचे लचे फोल्पको ॱकापेरी आचनी पोर्चे य मे। आन्चे लाके फोल्प च्याम्पचे खिरी ॱपिचे, “प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को, ङ चु तर्चे पोर्चे लचे हानी चपा? प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को।” ओ ॱपिचे ङि मे।
प्रोङ्कोचे ॱपिचे, “छ्योर्तेन फिरी, छ्योर्तेन फिरी,” ओच्योङ ॱपिचे लेन ते मे।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे ॱपिचे, “ॱताङ्चे, ॱताङ्चे! उरी ङल आकु ते आङी मो। ॱताङ्चे। ॱताङ्चे!”
ओच्योङ ॱपिचे काङ्री प्रोङ्कोकोचे फोल्पको छ्योर्तेन फिरी आचनी लाके पोर्चे य मे। “हुस, हुस,” उच्यु लाके फोल्प च्याम्पकोचे प्रोङ्कोकोरी।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे ॱपिचे, “प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को, ङ चु तर्चे पोर्चे लचे हानी चपा? प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को।” ओ ॱपिचे ॱङि मे।
प्रोङ्कोचे ॱपिचे, “फ्रा ख्यारी, फ्रा ख्यरी,” ओ ॱपिचे लेँ ते मे।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे ॱपिचे, “ॱताङ्चे, ॱताङ्चे! उरी ङल आश्याङ ते आम्च्याङ मो। ॱताङ्चे, ॱताङ्चे!” ओच्योङ ॱपि मे।
प्रोङ्कोकोचे फोल्पको फ्रा ॱकारी आचनी लाके ॱपोर्चे य मे।
उचे फोल्प च्याम्प ते प्रोङ्को ङि चेँ ङोन्चरी ॱतो ॱपी ॱतो ॱपी लप ॱकाङ्री फोल्प च्याम्पकोचे।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे ॱपिचे, “प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को, ङ चु तर्चे ॱपोर्चे लचे हानी चपा? प्रोङ्को, प्रोङ्को।” ओ ॱपिचे ॱङि मे।
प्रोङ्कोचे ॱपिचे, “चेँ ॱकारी, चेँ ॱकारी।” ओ्च्योङ ॱपिचे लेँ ते मे।
फोल्प च्याम्पचे ॱपिच्ये, “ओच्योङ ॱक्योप, ओच्योङ ॱक्योप। उरी ङल मोमे सु आरे। ओच्योङ ॱक्योप, ओच्योङ ॱक्योप,” ओच्योङ ॱपि मे।
प्रोङकोकोचे चु ॱलाङ्को थेप थेम्नेचे पे नाङ्चे लचे फोल्प च्याम्पको चेँ ॱकारी थे मे। उ च्युच्यु प्रोङ्को ल ॱश्येपा ङिको च्यि च्यि योच्ये योच्ये लाच्ये। “हुस, हुस,” सुङ्को चा चा मेचे लच्ये। “ट्वाक, ट्वाक,” फोल्प च्याम्पको च ॱपि लप ॱकाङ्री फोल्प च्याम्पको ॱक्यु ॱनाङ्री।
“थुलुङ!!!” ॱपिचे मतीरी छ्योङ मे। प्रोङ्कोको ॱमि पे थ्येप लचे ॱङ्यो टुच्यो प्यानी श्येँ ता ल ला आरे मे।
या प्येको ॱच्यिन्च्ये। प्येको सच्ये। ओ ॱपिचे लचे फ-मल ॱलाङ्को ङ्येम्पको कल्थेप मो। ङ्याङ्री नोर्ठुल श्योर्केँ राङ राङ नाङ्श्याङ तोङचे कलेको सल ॱलाङ। चोको लप्च्या यि मे।
